Product Description

A complete hot & cold water plumbing system

Star Polymer PPR Pipes and Fittings are manufactured from polypropylene random copolymer (PP-R) resin, purpose-built for potable hot and cold water plumbing, central heating, and compressed air lines. Heat-fusion welding turns every joint into a single, homogeneous piece of pipe — with no rubber seals or threads to fail over time.

Why PPR

Pipe Advantages

PPR gives plumbers and contractors a system that welds, not leaks — and keeps water clean and quiet for decades.

Leak-free, fully fused joints

Non-toxic & hygienic — safe for potable water

Excellent heat retention — energy efficient

Corrosion, scale & rust free bore

Low noise — dampens water-flow sound

Long design life — 50 years

Lightweight — fast, easy installation

Withstands both hot & cold cycling

Material & Pressure Rating

Material Grade

PPR pipe is manufactured from polypropylene random copolymer (PP-R), available in PP-R80 and the higher-strength PP-R100 grade, fully meeting the requirements of ISO 15874 and DIN 8077. Fibre-reinforced variants add a glass-fibre composite layer to reduce thermal expansion on long hot-water runs.

Pressure Classes

PPR pipe is rated by PN class, matched to working temperature: PN10 for cold water, PN16 for general hot & cold plumbing, and PN20 / PN25 for higher-pressure hot water and central heating lines.

Installation

Jointing Methods

PPR systems join using heat — no glue, no threads to leak, no solvent fumes on site.

S

Socket Fusion

Heated tool melts pipe & fitting for a fused joint

B

Butt Fusion

Used for larger diameter pipe-to-pipe joints

T

Threaded Insert

Brass-insert fittings for valves & fixtures

F

Flanged

Bolted connection for pumps & large valves

Fittings Range

Brass-Insert Fittings

Our PPR fittings range includes male and female brass-insert connectors — a corrosion-resistant copper-alloy thread moulded directly into the PPR body — giving a permanent, leak-proof transition to valves, taps, water heaters and metal pipework, without a separate seal to fail.

  • Elbows, tees, couplings & reducers
  • Male & female threaded transitions
  • Ball valves & stop valves
  • Wall plates & pipe clips
