Polyethylene Corrugated Duct (COD)
Manufactured from virgin high-density polyethylene, our corrugated ducts protect telecom, fibre-optic and utility cables underground — flexible, crush-resistant, and built for a long service life.
Engineered to protect what carries your network
Star Polymer Corrugated Pipes are manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) using virgin raw materials. These pipes are designed for underground cable protection, telecom networks, fibre optic installations, and utility ducting applications.

Available Colours
Made in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE 100) with an inner silicon-core for low-friction cable pulling. Available across five standard colours for easy line identification on site.
COD Specifications
Every batch of corrugated duct is tested and produced against the following ASTM and international standards.
COD Advantages
Corrugated duct is built for crews who need a fast, reliable install and a duct that keeps performing for decades underground.
Better flexibility on site
Lighter in weight for handling & transport
Built-in safety in cable protection
Easy insertion of optic fibre cables
High reliability over long service life
Better resistance against chemicals
Stronger under external load
Cost efficiency across large projects
Material & System Specification
Material Properties
HDPE ducts are made from a high-density polyethylene compound fully meeting the material requirements of DIN 8075, and the requirements of ASTM D3350 for Class 345444 C/E. Ducts meet all material and test requirements specified in ASTM F2160, with sizes customised to metric (DIN 8074) and inch measurements (ASTM D3035 / F2160 SDR11).
5-Way COD Duct System
The 5-Way Corrugated Duct (COD) system is available from 90 mm to 160 mm diameter, supplied in coils and bars — giving contractors the flexibility to choose the format that best fits the installation method and route length.
HDPE Sub-Duct & Mini Duct
HDPE sub-ducts are manufactured from piping-grade compound fully meeting the material requirements of DIN 8075, and the requirements of ASTM D3350 for class PE 345444 C/E, designated PE 3408. Dimensions are based on ASTM D3035 / F2160, SDR 11.

Sub-Duct Coupling
4 types for 27.2–42 mm OD sub-ducts
| Sub-duct coupling | A (mm) | B (mm) | C (mm) | D (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Type 1 — 29 mm OD sub-duct | 39 | 31 | 4 ± 0.5 | 170 |
| Type 2 — 33 mm OD sub-duct | 43 | 35 | 4 ± 0.5 | 170 |
| Type 3 — 42 mm OD sub-duct | 52 | 44 | 4 ± 0.5 | 170 |
| Type 4 — 27.2 mm OD sub-duct | 37.2 | 29.2 | 4 ± 0.5 | 170 |
SSD — Silicone Sub Duct
Made from virgin, flexible HDPE, SSD is used for optic fibre and copper cable networks and can be swept into gradual bends without special forming equipment. The inner wall carries a silicone coating — a solid, slick lubricant that gives an 80% reduction in coefficient of friction versus non-coated ducts, protecting cable before, during and after installation.
- Silicone lasts as long as the duct itself
- Doesn't evaporate or burn out from heat or friction
- Coefficient of friction stays constant over time
- Supports both blowing and pulling installation
| Inside Dia. (mm) | Silicone Coated Wall Thickness (mm) |
|---|---|
| 22 | 0.4 ± 0.1 |
| 25 | 0.5 ± 0.1 |
| 29 | 0.5 ± 0.1 |
| 35 | 0.5 ± 0.1 |
| Test | Performance | Related Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Tensile strength | 180 kgf/cm² | KS M 3006 |
| Coefficient of friction | 0.30 or below | Bellcore Spec |
| Compression resilience | Recovery rate > 10.0% | KS C 8454 |
| Heat deformation | Strain 3.0% | KS M 3408 |
| Impact | Free from cracks | KS C 8454 |
| Chemical resistance | HCL / NaOH / PEG — change in weight ≤ 12 g/m² | KS M 3407 |
Sub-duct colour matches the main duct — except one sub-duct always carries a distinct colour (black paired with orange, or orange paired with black) for easy identification.
